At Olive & Tallow Studio, the workshop brings both sides together: the tradition of handmade soap and the science that makes the transformation possible.

Safety first

Cold-process soapmaking involves sodium hydroxide, so safety is an essential part of the experience. Participants will receive safety instruction and appropriate protective equipment during the hands-on portion of the workshop.

All participants must follow workshop safety procedures and complete the required safety agreement before participating.

Do I need previous soapmaking experience?
No. This workshop is designed for beginners and introduces the fundamentals step by step.
What do I need to bring?
Your workshop materials and required safety equipment are provided. Additional arrival instructions will be provided after registration.
Can I choose vegan or tallow soap?
Yes. You'll select your formulation during registration. Your selection cannot be changed after registration.
Is soapmaking safe?
Cold-process soapmaking requires careful handling of sodium hydroxide. Safety instruction and protective equipment are part of the workshop, and participants must follow all safety procedures.
